"it"sy bitsy girl

I have had my eye on Chloe Moretz since she showed up in 500 Days of Summer being all sassy  and pre-teen and what not. I lumped her into the Hailee Steinfeld, Fanning sisters, Tavi Gevinson style category. But it seems like overnight she blew up into the Girl. To. Watch. Today she is clocking in at 15. FIFTEEN! When I was 15 I was wearing Curious George t-shirts and sweatpants while taking myself completely seriously. Srsly?
But last summer's release of the Best Coast music video for "Not our deal" solidified my love for this girl.
She has a beautiful face that can pull off an epic pissed off snarl, a quality that I believe to be highly underrated.
And now her recurring role as and evil teen queen bitch on 30 Rock, what's not to love?

But let's talk Fashion. She appears in the May issue of Vogue Russia styled in a Chicago-esqu photo shoot with clothes from the spring season that just can't help but lent themselves to the roaring 20s.

Shall we browse?

My favorite has to be the Marc Jacobs. I'm obsessed with the shoes.

Sorry I'm not sorry

I'm a terrible blogger...

2 things that I need to discuss, both reported on far past their due date. And both already discussed ad nauseum.

First, the obligatory commentary on Raf Simons as the new creative director at Dior.
My opinion is that I have no opinion. I want John Galliano to be the creative director at Dio
r. Cue *gasp*. I get it, he ruined himself. But he was and still is a genius (See my overly dramatic tumblr post ). We will see come Couture season if Mr. Simons has what it takes to head Dior. Coming off of his lovely but in no way show stopping final collection at Jil Sander he has some great big shoes to fill. Also I'm glad that Marc Jacobs is sitting tight at Louis Vuitton, I wasn't ready for that shift.
So I guess I do have an opinion.

My second issue is the Time Magazine list of the top 100 greatest Fashion icons of all time.
I can't be the only one thinking that Carrie Bradshaw was total snubbed! Some people have been saying the Sara Jessica Parker should have made the list but I would have much rather seen Miss Bradshaw as one of the main muses. She would have been the only fictional character to make the list which would have been great. And come on! Homegirl is a legend!!! I guess there was a SATC nod with costume director Pat Field making the list. But Carrie was special, and she deserves to be on that list damn it!

I mean...

I MEAN...

I MEAN!!!...
Come on! Can you say iconic???
