This season was Sara Burton's projection of the future. And by the look of the things it's surprisingly optimistic, shiny and frilly. There is a much tighter and refined feeling to this collection than the Spring 2010 show that was also supposed to be a look into Fashion years down the road. Ironic, seeing as Miss Burton is the future of the label. The McQ collection, also by S.B., reminded me much more of a McQueen that I have become accustomed to. Not only was there plaid (!) there were plenty of floral aspects that was a common inspiration in past collections.

After seeing the Savage Beauty MET exhibition I feel as if I am an authority on this subject. Sorry to be so obnoxious.
