I can't think of a good enough black and white pun

Black and white isn't a new thing. It's not some novel idea or unique twist. In fact it's a tired cliche, dark vs. light, good vs. evil, yin vs. yang. It's all been there worn that. And yet I couldn't help but be struck with how many graphic black and white looks were shown off this season. And not just individual looks but full collections were done without a hint of color. Marc Jacobs took advantage of his prevailing role as Fashion royalty and taste maker to not so subtly let us know via Louis Vuitton and his personal collection that the graphic, mod 1960s will be en vogue for Spring 2013.

Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Balmain, Calvin Klein, Chanel, Givenchy, Jason Wu, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Prada,  Viktor and Rolf
