random trends from NYFW

I'm sure that I'm not the only one who noticed these 2 very coincidental trends this past fashion week.

Fist we have outrageous, oversize, fur hats:To your left you have Marc Jacobs and to your right is Michael Kors. Two presentations by some of the most staple American ready-to-wear Fashion both showcased fuzzy headpieces that all but engulfed their model's heads. While Micheal Kors topped 4 of his girls off with these hats Marc Jacobs took it to a whole new level with every girl rocking some sort of variation.

And next there is...hand prints?
Left Side is Diane von Furstenberg and right side is Rodarte. These ladies showed entirely different collections with designs and aesthetics that had nearly nothing in common. But wait! Do I spy a distinct use of hands in both collections? Furstneberg creates her print in Mod-ish color blocking way (get ready for color blocking, it's coming for you). The
Mulleavy sisters of Rodarte created their, I'll call it timeless vintage specialty. The hands on this dress give me a bit of a ghost vibe. No?

Let's see if either of these trends pop up in London, Milan, or Paris...
